Delaware County Animal Control

Delaware County Animal Control has been serving local homes and businesses since 1976. What began as a small extermination service led by founder Rahn Monrea’L has grown into a dedicated wildlife control and animal control team focused on public safety and respect for animals.

From the beginning, the company has worked under the belief that animals should be treated with care, even when they are in the wrong place. Our guiding message, “We Speak for Those Who Have No Voice,” demonstrates how our officers handle wildlife, explain options to property owners, and choose humane wildlife removal methods whenever possible.

Today, the company operates with a structured command staff, 9 full-time officers, and 12 part-time team members covering Delaware County, Philadelphia. Our business is fully licensed and insured, and licensed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. All of our officers are certified in animal control, and technicians are trained in animal husbandry and habitat care, meaning every call is handled by people with daily wildlife experience.

When you call Delaware County Animal Control, the goal is to make a stressful situation easier to manage. Our team follows a clear process so you know what to expect from the first phone call until your home is secure again, whether you require general wildlife removal or urgent assistance.

Once the situation is clear, the officer selects humane methods that fit the animal and location. This may include setting traps, removing animals by hand when safe, or guiding wildlife out through openings that can then be sealed. Young animals, such as baby raccoons or litters in an attic, are handled with care along with the adults. Domestic dogs are not trapped. Throughout this process, the focus remains on maintaining safety for people, pets, and the animals being removed.

Our team provides home pickup across the county and nearby communities, day or night. Your pet is transported respectfully, and you choose the type of cremation that best fits your wishes. Staff are available to answer questions, explain each option, and help you understand what will happen next.

You can choose from:

Private cremation where your pet is cremated individually and ashes are returned to you
Group cremation if you prefer not to receive ashes back
Memorial items including pet urns, paw print keepsakes, and memorial jewelry

When the cremation is complete, ashes and any chosen memorial items are returned to your home or another agreed upon location.
